Root Beer Reserve opens with the unmistakable smooth bite of sassafras and wintergreen, giving an immediate nod to a premium, handcrafted root-beer profile. In the heart, caramel blends with warm cinnamon and resinous Siam benzoin, creating a rich, glowing sweetness that feels both refined and indulgent.
As it settles, vanilla and amber melt into subtle tobacco and creamy tonka, adding depth and masculine warmth. The result is a polished, luxury take on root beer—sweet, spiced, and effortlessly smooth.
The opening is very harsh on my skin until the late mid and dry down, I’m hoping that it’s because it needs to maturate. I’ll pull it back out on 2 to 3 weeks time and hopefully it becomes a lot better. But I love the concept of the root beer scent and how it’s potentially going to smooth out after it maturate for a while.
Thanks for the review! You nailed it… since I blend every bottle freshly to order, it just needs a little time to rest. Give it those 2-3 weeks to macerate, and that harsh opening will smooth right out into the root beer profile you’re looking for. Keep me posted!
Got a 10ml as part of my second order from Mirror image, this did not disappoint. I wasn’t sure what to expect. It smells amazing, this nice fresh almost wintergreen scent with sarsaparilla. Its like taking your first drink from some quality root beer in a glass and smelling the fizzy bubbles as they tickle your nose.
To be honest this is a photorealistic fragrance in the opening I and my wife instantly pictured a frothily ice cream topped root beer. Now this may be a bit much for some but after about 2 hrs it starts to change to and indulgent caramel and cinnamon. You will still get subtle hits of the opening but it is a very aeromantic fragrance. Now on to the dry down 4-6 hours in, it is Beautiful it’s warm and inviting it is a fragrance that your partner will want to cuddle up to next to the fireplace. Though there is no smokiness to it; it provides that feel of being cozy. So in closing if you want something unique and sweet but not overly sweet frag and still smell masculine I would suggest giving this a try.
